The OSJ Fathers endeavor to promote in young people the harmonious growth of their physical, moral and intellectual gifts by striving to bring to mature development by the process of total education their sense of freedom and responsibility in a context of community. The Marello Public School is an earnest attempt to create a centre of educational excellence where a holistic approach is adopted for the physical, mental, social and spiritual development of children.
The Oblates have their centres of education and youth formation in different parts of the world, mainly in the United States of America, Australia, Italy, Brazil, Mexico, Bolivia, Peru, the Philippines, and Nigeria. There are a number of Colleges, Schools, Vocational Training Centres, Boys Homes, Retreat Centres and Formation Houses all over the world under the management of the OSJ Fathers.
The OSJ have their Provincial House in Kodungallur, Thrissur, Kerala. Other centres of activity include Aluva, Vithura, Kulathupuzha, Varkala, Vadavathoor, Vagamon, Thenkasi, Pune, Assam, Italy & Germany. The Oblates of St Joseph started their educational activities in Perumpilly, Narakkal in the year 1996 with the establishment of Marello Campus of Studies, and Vinayalaya Formation House in a large 5 acre green patch of land. The Marello ITC was for many years a house-hold name for the People of Vypin, where hundreds of young boys and girls received vocational training in various trades that helped them find a sure footing in life. The Campus also had a degree college for B.A / B.Com classes and also a well -established Computer Training Institute.
